The magnificent French drama “The Class” submerges you in a microcosm of public-school chaos. It’s a familiar place, a rambunctious din of overlapping teenage voices, scraping chairs, clacking school supplies and the lone, beleaguered instructions of a teacher trying to conduct the unruly human symphony in front of him.
The tunes ended at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival late Sunday night and campers departed the festival’s Coffee County site. But tons of plastic bottles, aluminum cans and other materials remained.
As most of the nearly 70,000 Bonnaroo attendees head out of Manchester for home today, cleanup crews will begin in earnest picking trash and discarded camping equipment.
As pretty much everything else took a break for the main show, meaning everyone in the place it seemed was at the What Stage, Metallica delivered on a promise they’d made earlier.
The music begins in earnest on Fridays at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and today was no different. By 3 p.m., each of the 11 stages were fully engaged and Centeroo was jammed with people.
Supposedly, the Olson twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley are here. I’m not surprised. Everybody else seems to be. Even though it is not a sell-out (no official count is being shared yet), it is absolutely packed.
Bonnaroo’s reputation as a place where almost anything goes works in favor of the artists and the fans when it comes to the performances, according to festivalgoers and performers.
