* If you've been wondering what those tuxedo-clad silhouettes that resemble characters from "Mad Men" are doing on the side of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial Library, it's time for Club Lib.
The life-size figures, which look as though they've been thrown from the roof, are part of this year's marketing campaign. Years ago, you might remember, Mai Bell Hurley and Ruth Holmberg appeared in a funny video in which they spray-painted "Liberate the Library" on a mirror in a library restroom.
Club Lib transforms the library into a nightclub, and the proceeds from this year's event will raise money for archiving equipment and better online access.
* The FYI Music Awards, presented by FYI Weekend, will be Nov. 13 at Rhythm & Brews. Votes are in and being tabulated. Thanks to all who took the time to go online or text their selections.
Visit fyiawards.com to see the list of nominees and performers who will play during the awards ceremony.
As a bonus, we've created a few video updates featuring local folks you might know. The videos have little to do with anything, but they make us laugh.
