Gingerbread houses aren’t just for Christmas anymore. Kids can create monster mansions in three Haunted Gingerbread House workshops next week at McMinn County Living Heritage Museum.
The first two sessions, at 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, are scheduled for toddlers. The hourlong, hands-on craft session requires the attendance of an adult. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors. Kids and museum members get in free.
Older kids (ages 12 and up) will have a two-hour session starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. A Wilton gingerbread house kit with decorations is included in the registration fee, but participants are welcome to bring extras to personalize their house. Registration fee is $25. Registration is guaranteed only when payment is made.
Space is limited. For reservations, call 423-745-0329.
The museum is at 522 W. Madison Ave. in Athens, Tenn.
