In celebration of World Fair Trade Month, World Next Door will serve up samples of fair-trade coffee from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Pasha, a local fair-trade coffeehouse and teahouse, will provide the free cupping, and Alchemy Spice will offer chocolate brownies.

The event is a chance to find out more about the coffee you drink, where it’s from, how it’s made and who grew it, according to a news release. Coffee experts from Pasha will be on hand to answer such questions.

Fair trade is an alternative business practice that hinges on guaranteeing fair wages and dignified working conditions for producers in marginalized economic systems.

World Next Door, described as “a local business for global change,” is at 100 Market St.
