Chynna and Vaughan (Chynna Phillips, left, and Vaughan Penn) will sing from their Reunion Records debut, "One Reason," at Thursday's concert.

Fans of NewSong won't have to wait for the next Winter Jam to see the contemporary Christian band perform. The Dove Award winners and Grammy nominees are on their Give Yourself Away Tour, which stops Thursday at Tennessee Temple University, 1815 Union Ave.

The tour also features Bluetree and Chynna & Vaughan. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 show.

Tickets are $10 at the door, and a love offering will be taken. All in attendance will receive a free "Give Yourself Away" CD.

Their holiday anthem, "The Christmas Shoes," became a mainstream radio hit and inspired a best-selling book and CBS movie of the week. The album of the same name was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album in 2003.

optionalMembers are Russ Lee (lead vocals, guitar), Billy Goodwin (lead vocals, guitar), Eddie Carswell (songwriter, background vocals), Matt Butler (cello, keyboard, violin, accordion, background vocals), Rico Thomas (guitar), Jack Pumphrey (drums), Mark Clay (bass) and Matt Goodwin (percussion).

* Bluetree is a five-piece alternative rock band from Belfast, Ireland, whose "God of This City," a modern worship staple, was introduced to American audiences by Chris Tomlin. The musicians are establishing a stateside presence with an indie deal with the Lucid Artist label.

* Chynna & Vaughan -- Chynna Phillips and Vaughan Penn -- recently released their debut disc, "One Reason." Phillips gained international fame in the early '90s as a member of pop trio Wilson Phillips. Penn earned Top 40 Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the New Music Weekly Awards in 2007. Her songs have been featured in more than 100 films and such high-profile television shows as "Grey's Anatomy," "Criminal Minds" and "Numb3rs."
