Ray Zimmerman, former president of the Chattanooga Writers Guild, will emcee a New Voices reading by area poets Saturday at Pasha Coffee & Tea in St. Elmo.

Some of the seven poets taking part include award winners and finalists. They range from hobbyists to those who have been widely published.

The program is from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with two hourlong sessions and a 30-minute intermission.

Participating between 6 and 7 p.m. are Ginnie Sams, Bob Dombrowski, Michael Bodine and Veronique Bergeron. The 7:30 p.m. sessions features Bruce Majors, E. Smith Gilbert and Penny Dyer.
