By Jennifer Adkins, Staff Writer
The TaleSpin Festival continues today and Saturday beneath two tents at Coolidge Park.
National storytellers are Judith Black, Bill Harley, Kevin Kling, Syd Lieberman, Queen Nur and Kathryn Windham. Regional storytellers are Jim Pfitzer, Donna “Kokumo” Buie, Blessid Ogedegbe and Noah Lepp.
“The way we make sense of the world is through stories,” Harley said. “That’s what I’m doing with kids; I’m giving them stories they can relate to their own lives.”
According to Harley, the art of storytelling applies to audiences of any age.
“It’s the same for all of them, adults and children,” he said. “Your job is to entertain people.”
