The 2008-09 Sunset Concert Series held at the North River Civic Center, 1009 Executive Drive, Suite 102, in Hixson has been set, with the Island Steel Pan Band kicking off the series tonight.
Using traditional instruments from the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, the band plays contemporary and gospel music with a Caribbean flavor, as well as traditional songs from the Caribbean.
The free performances take place once a month from 7 to 8 p.m.
