Pets can venture into a Hawaiian Lu-Howl at a weekend photo session sponsored by the Tennessee Humane Animal League to benefit the Pet Placement Center.
In keeping with the theme, the photos will have a tropical ocean background and an optional surfer boy or hula girl to hold the pet. Family members can be included in the photos, and pet costumes will be available.
Photos will be made from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at the J.C. Penney Portrait Studio at Northgate Mall in Hixson.
A $20 sitting fee includes one photo package.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Call 877-9996 to arrange a time.
The Pet Placement Center is a no-kill animal shelter in its 25th year of operation in Red Bank.
